The Bistro opens for Breakfast, Lunch and dinner but is also a great place to stop off for homemade cake & coffee during the daytime, and with local artists regularly exhibiting, it’s always an interesting place to relax.
Dishes such as our fish pie, chicken Kiev with butterbean & chilli mash, salt and pepper squid and melting chocolate pudding with Malteaser ice cream have been on our menu now for 5 years, and still remain firm favourites of our customers. We change our menus every 4 months to reflect the seasons, and always use the best produce available.
A current favourite is our Lamb Tagine, lightly spiced with flavours of Morocco: lemon, chilli & cinnamon, and served with sweet potato mash & raita.
During the past few years we have focused much more on using organic local produce; our salad and vegetables are sourced from Cheshire and Lancashire and our fish supplied daily from our local supplier is always Marine stewardship council approved, which sets good environmental standards from a well managed sustainable fishery.
